Office memo

MEMORANDUM
TO: ALL STAFF
FROM: ANDREW GRANT
DATE: JAN 9th, 2017
SUBJECT: DRESS CODE CHANGES AND OFFICE TEMPERATURE

Due to ongoing complaints from a group of employees over the thermostats, the office dress code has been amended to require an "office coat" for females. The somewhat customary "office sweater" seems to be ineffective, therefore requiring the use of a heavier layer. All female staff must have an office appropriate winter weight coat available at all times. Coats must be professional looking and kept in clean condition. Wool and down or puffer coats in conservative styles are acceptable. "Ski" or "sport" outerwear is not appropriate. Coats must be of winter weight, and must reach to the knee or below.
Wearing of the "office coat" will remain optional and at the discretion of the staff. However this policy could be revised in the future if conflicts and complaints by the female staff regarding office temperature continue.
The female staff must have an appropriate "office coat" available at all times starting January 16th.

All thermostats will remain locked at 62F.
